Frances (Francie) Eileen (Euman) Baughman

Frances (Francie) Eileen Euman Snider Baughman 97 of Somerset, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at her residence.

Francie was born on December 26, 1927 on the William Clouse Homestead (her grandfather) in Junction City.  She was the second of five daughters born to William and Bertha (Clouse) Euman.

She spent her entire life in Perry County, mostly Somerset.  She graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1946 and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Rosary Altar Society. She was a church Lector and weekly volunteer at Holy Trinity School.  She was a member of the Nightingale O.C.C.L.; the Perry County Historical Society; Somerset Heritage Homemakers Club of The Ohio State University and Somerset American Legion Auxiliary Post #58.

She married Robert J. Snider in 1946 and they were blessed with three children, Lynn (John) Snider Seifert of Lancaster, Jeanie (Dale) Snider DeRolph of Glenford and David (Anne) Snider of Somerset; six grandsons, Dustin Seifert of Portales, NM, Nathan DeRolph of Newark, Christopher DeRolph of Knoxville, TN and Joseph, Robert and William Snider of Somerset. Robert passed away in 1966 and in 1977, she married Max L. Baughman and became a step-mother to Roger, James and Marsha Baughman. 

Francie is survived by her children; grandchildren; step-children and her sister, Edythe (Don) Mahoney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mollee Seifert, sisters, Zita Lare, M. Irene Euman O.P., Lela Golden and step-son and his wife, Roger (Carol) Baughman.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Andre Joseph LaCasse as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.  "All who knew her knew of her love of all things BLUE. In remembrance and love, please honor her by wearing something blue to her services."

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity School or the Mollee Seifert Scholarship Fund through the Fairfield Foundation in Lancaster, Ohio.
