Frances A. Johnson, 91, of Somerset, died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Bickford of Lancaster.
Frances was born April 2, 1927 in Somerset, Ohio, the daughter of the late James A. and Anna Hull Pargeon. She was a lifelong resident of Perry County.
She is survived by six sons, James (Elaine) Johnson of Mount Perry, Thomas A. Johnson of Canal Winchester, Mark Johnson of Mount Perry, William Johnson of Somerset, Phillip (Tonya) Johnson of Mansfield, and Frank Johnson of Zanesville; six daughters, Barbara Hetrick of Somerset, Mary (Doug) Wolfe of Somerset, Linda (Merle) Smart of Newark, Janet (Roger) Kirkbride of Zanesville, Gloria (Mike) Miller of Somerset, and Lois (Kenneth) Reichley of Somerset; a sister, Helen Cornell of Lancaster; 27 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George D.R. Johnson; two sons, Robert E. and David R. Johnson; a granddaughter, Ashlee Miller; four brothers, Carl, Albert, James J. and Raymond W. Pargeon; a sister, Mildred I. Beem; and a son-in-law, Jerry Hetrick.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 with the Rev. April Thoms officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
