Florence Louise (Boring) Stimmel, 94, of Somerset, Ohio, passed away at 3:34 p.m. on November 29, 2025, at her residence. Florence was born on January 11, 1931, in Deerfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Margaret J. (Aultyigo) Boring. She lived with her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Richie, starting at the age of 12 years old. She was a 1951 graduate of Hebron High School, and a member of Christian Union Church in New Reading and Oakthorpe for many years. Florence enjoyed many things in her life such as walking, gardening, and making large holiday dinners. She was a graduate of an artist painting school and loved woodworking, sewing and arts and crafts. She is survived by two daughters, Christine (Don) Copen of Arizona and Ruth Ann Kilbarger of Somerset; three grandsons, Laurence, Eric (Tina) and Jesse; and two great-granddaughters, Akira and Ally. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Franklin Stimmel; one daughter, who died in a tragic car accident her senior year of high school, Jacqeuline “Jackie” Stimmel; and one brother, Raymond Boring, Jr. There was a caring cremation in November. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, in New Reading Cemetery, 5770 Rush Creek Rd. Somerset, Ohio.
