Emzy Darrell “Red” Dingess Sr., 82, of Junction City, was called home to the Lord at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Arbors of Carroll. Darrell was born November 19, 1935 in West Fork, WV, the son of the late Hugh and Margaret Davis Dingess. He was raised in Harts, WV where he lived until 1965. He then moved to Ohio where he worked over 40 years of his life in the oil fields until his retirement. He loved watching wrestling, golfing and westerns on T.V. He was a great provider and loved his family. Darrell is survived by his two sons, Darrell Jr. (Candy) Dingess of Millfield, Ohio and Shane Norris of New Lexington; brothers and sisters, Larry, Judy, Madaline, Barbara and Mary; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Racine (2011); a brother, Albert; and a sister, Jewel. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. John Edwards officiating.
