Donald Brown Kessler, 84, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Embassy of Winchester Place Nursing Home in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Donald was born November 25, 1937, in Dumont, NJ, to the late Walter Evans and Myrtle (Weber) Kessler. He served in the US Army for 8 years. Donald drove a milk truck for Dairy Lea in New York for 30 years. In 1988, Donald and his family moved to Columbus, Ohio where he started working for Saneese Services until he retired. Donald was a member of the Masonic Alpine Tenakill Chapter #77 Lodge in Tenafly, NJ, and Lancaster Masonic Lodge #57. He was also a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Glenford, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Ann (Guest) Kessler of Somerset; two sons, Andrew (Christina) of Somerset and Scott (Theresa) of Reynoldsburg; two grandsons, Ethan Kessler of Somerset and Brandon Kessler of Reynoldsburg; one granddaughter, Skylar Taylor of Zanesville. Donald also had two God children and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Evans Kessler and one sister, Joanne Kessler. Donald will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 11742 Gower Rd., Glenford, Ohio with Pastor Jeremy Shank officiating.
