Diana Lynette Geidenberger, of Zanesville, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2026, after a short illness. Born to Janice E. Fisher and Clarence R. Geidenberger, Jr. on January 13, 1961, in Newark Ohio, Diana attended Lakewood High School and Licking County Joint Vocational School, and later completed an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies from Muskingum Technical College.
In the early part of her career, she sold real estate but later went on to establish the Rivertown Artworks, an art studio and gallery promoting the creativity of artists with special needs. Diana found her calling through helping adult artists with disabilities maximize their artistic expression and potential. It truly was a labor of love for her. Her compassion and kindness also extended to the many animal companions she shared her living space with over her lifetime. Her love of animals was noteworthy from a very young age, and she never encountered a stray she wasn’t willing to take in.
Diana is preceded in death by son, Joshua Crouse; sister, Deborah Geidenberger; and love of her life, Robert Forker. She is survived by daughter, Katie Hatem of Somerset; son, Will Laymon of Zanesville; grandchildren, Beau, Seth, and Olivia Hatem of Somerset, sister, Connie Geidenberger of Lisbon, Portugal; nephew, Aaron Gutman of Estoril, Portugal; mother, Janice Van Horn of Zanesville, and 4 cat companions. She will be very sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of cards and flowers, donations may be made in Diana’s name to Humane World for Animals at
