Debra Lynn Burnett, 60, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in her home. Debra was born September 28, 1964, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Harvey and Kathy (Jordan) Gower. She was a 1982 graduate of Sheridan High School. She married David Burnett on February 14, 2014, together for a total of 25 years. Debra truly lived life to the fullest. She loved spending her summers gardening, watching her grandkids play baseball and softball, and always cooking for her entire family, no one left her house hungry. She was the type that welcomed anyone to her kitchen table, always leaving her house with a bag full of groceries. Debra was known for her amazing chicken and dumplings which she fixed on everyone’s birthdays. She is survived by her husband, David Burnett; two daughters, Alicia West and Kenna (Orrin) Kunkler; four step- children, Ryan (Amanda) Burnett, Megan (John) Ruyf, Brandon Burnett and Colton Burnett; her grandchildren, Laken, Briar, Nora, Claire, Mayla, Emersyn, Ella and Wesley; her best friend, Regina Love; and her father and mother-in-law, Jim and Sharon Burnett, sisters and brother-in-law, Bev and Jeff VanMeter, Amy Nicewanger; and brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Amy Burnett.
