Dean James Robinson

Dean James Robinson, 59, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in Somerset, Ohio. Dean was born September 28, 1964, in Zanesville, Ohio. He grew up in Somerset where he attended local schools including Sheridan High School before attending college at Ohio University. Dean dedicated many years as a Laboratory Technician at Covestro, where he was respected for his professionalism and work ethic. Outside of his career, Dean was passionate about the outdoors, spending much of his free time hunting, golfing, boating, and fishing. These activities brought him great joy and provided cherished memories for his family and friends. Dean is survived by his father, Delbert (Bess) Robinson; his mother, Nancy Robinson; his children, Samantha Wentlender and Sarah Peddicord; stepchildren, Rush (Jess) Stroud, and Nancy (Jeremy) Green; his siblings, Dee (Brian) Talbot, and Doug (Teresa) Robinson; grandchildren, Mia and Ellie Wentlender; and step-grandchildren, Alexandria Stroud, Rebeccah and Raven Kinnett. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Larry Dennis. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset, Ohio. A celebration of life ceremony will follow at the Somerset American Legion. Dean’s life was marked by his love for his family, his dedication to his career, and his enjoyment of the great outdoors. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
