Clyde Aldridge, 77, of Somerset, formerly of Glenford, died at 8:28 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care in Zanesville. Clyde was born December 10, 1942 in Logan County, WV, the son of the late James and Beatrice Southers Aldridge. He was an independent operator for Wheaton Van Lines in the moving company business in Zanesville, Ohio. Clyde loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Aldridge-Moore and her husband Bill, of Somerset; one granddaughter, Madison; two grandsons, Liam and Wyatt; and a sister, Pearl Bartram of West Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda J. Aldridge (1993); one son, James Vincent Blevins (2001); and seven sisters and brothers, Ernie, Frieda, Elmer, Willie, Albert, Mary and Shirley. There was a caring cremation at Clyde’s request. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home, P.O. Box 188, Somerset, Ohio 43783 for funeral expenses.
