Carl J. Hudak died on Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born in Congo, Ohio to the late Joe and Mary Marolt Hudak on July 17, 1935.
He graduated from Moxahala High School in 1953, worked at Essex Wire in Zanesville; he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He then was employed for 30 years at Arvin-Meritor (Rockwell International Corp.) Newark, Ohio, where he was a member of the UAW Local 1037. Carl was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church both in Somerset, member of the National Slovak Society and NRA.
He married Wilma Jean Reichley and resided in Somerset from 1958-1998. Carl was a quiet man but had a quick wit and a great sense of humor.
Carl is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wilma Reichley Hudak; children, Carla (Al) Bell, Dennis (Teresa) Hudak, Debbie (Al) Donahey, Janeen (Rick) Pletcher, James (Michelle) Hudak, Carolyn (Scott) Carnes and Joe (Sharee) Hudak; 13 grandchildren, three great granddaughters, one step granddaughter and her three children; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Raymond (Joy) Hudak and an infant sister.
A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
