We regret to announce the passing of Bonnie Faye (Shuman) Ours, 85, of Somerset, Ohio, who passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Faye passed away at home in her husband’s care after a long illness. Faye was born on September 2, 1935 in Clyde, Georgia to the late Estell and Brittie (Nevills) Shuman. She lived a full and warm life with her sons and their families and will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. Faye is survived by her husband, Paul Ours and their children, Jeff (Star) Ours of Glenford, Michael Ours of Somerset, David (Rhonda) Ours of Somerset and stepson Leonard (Kathy) Ours of Burlington, KY; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Rushing of Richmond Hill, GA, Livie Turner of Summerville, SC, and Freida Hurd (Jimmy) of Richmond Hill, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawton Shuman, and her sister, Earline Purifoy. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at Hopewell United Methodist Church with Pastor John Edwards and Pastor Jeremy Shank officiating. Burial will follow in Somerset Cemetery.
