Beverly Ann (Quinn) Tolliver Obituary

Beverly Ann (Quinn) Tolliver, of Somerset, Ohio, joined our Lord & Savior in the early hours of July 23rd, 2026. Born September 16th, 1950, to Bob & Thelma Quinn of Moxahala, Ohio, Bev grew up in the rolling hills of southern Perry County, graduating from Miller High School in 1968. Bev is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Thelma (Abram) Quinn; her baby brother, Patrick Quinn; her mother-in-law, Mary Tolliver; her brother-in-law, Eugene Tolliver; her sisters-in-law, Dixie Quinn & Mary “Ginny” Hardwick; and her two infant children. Bev is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael Tolliver Sr., and their 4 children, Michael (Kelly) Tolliver Jr., Jean (Kurt) Kramer, Joseph (Kendra) Tolliver, and Wendy Bryan; her 11 grandchildren, Dominique, Ryne, & Mercedes (Lenden Carrier) Carletti, Abigail & Katherine Tolliver, Kaylee (Sky) Moore, Kelsie & Keaton Bryan, and Michael, Patrick, & Khloe Tolliver; her brothers, Steve, Tim (Kaye), and Jack (Tina) Quinn, and sister, Linda (Don) Goodyear; sister-in-law, Evelyn Tolliver; great-grandchildren, Bentley & Rosie Carrier, and Baby Moore; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends she considered family. Bev lived a life dedicated to serving & supporting others. She married Michael Tolliver, Sr., October 14th, 1972, and they quickly began creating a beautiful life & family together. Bev became a paramedic in 1983, dedicating more than 20 years to her community. This path led her to serving under Advanced Ambulance & Bethesda Hospital, where she provided compassionate care to those in need. Throughout her career, Bev also volunteered with the Somerset (Reading Township) Fire Department, allowing her to proudly serve her local community. Her faith & heart drove her need to help others, shown by the many people in her life who, at one time or another, considered her house “home”. In retirement, Bev spent her time cheering on her grandchildren, nieces, & nephews in their various activities, always making sure to be one of their biggest fans. This continued behind closed doors, as she held the hands of her loved ones during each of their highest and lowest moments. Bev was incredibly family oriented; she loved nothing more than her family, and made sure she instilled that in her siblings, children, and grandchildren. Bev treasured a good story and could always be found with her current book nearby. She was always perfectly manicured, liked visiting new local wineries, and lived to find a good bargain. Bev was a live local music junkie, and enjoyed going to see bands in the area, as well as supporting her own husband & brothers’ musical endeavors. She always kept the house stocked with sweet treats for whoever may stop by for a visit and loved her pets. She was an avid supporter of veterans and the military, and relished diving into her family history, as well as sharing it with her children and grandchildren. Bev was a selfless, loyal, strong, faith driven, courageous, big-hearted woman, mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, first responder, and friend; she is and will always be loved and deeply missed. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home: 203 S. Columbus Street, Somerset, OH where funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m.
