Betty A. Wellman, 88, of Buckeye Lake, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2025, at Country Lane Gardens Nursing Home in Oakthorpe. Betty was born July 12, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late James S. Jr. and Margaret C. (Klouse) Smith. She is survived by 2 sons, Darel Scott Lenhart of Buckeye Lake and Timothy Douglas Lenhart of Millersport; two daughters, Lesa Morris of Somerset and Amber Wellman of Cleveland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna (John) Holley of Columbus and Sandra (Terrie) Sanders of Nevada; and one brother, James (Janie) Smith of Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberli Dornon. There will be a caring cremation at Betty’s request. No calling hours or service will be observed. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements.
