Ance "Junior" Muncy

Ance “Junior” Muncy, 81, of Junction City, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family. Junior was born August 13, 1944, in Beauty, Kentucky, the son of the late Ance and Victoria (Maynard) Muncy. He was a graduate of Warfield High School in Kentucky and was a Data Processer for Columbus Public Schools where he retired in 2004 after 34 years. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, and loved family, grandchildren, and making everyone laugh. He is survived by three daughters, Amy (Burt) Brown of New Lexington, Andrea (Steve) Buckley of Junction City, and Amanda Muncy of St. Mary’s, West Virginia; one son, Stephen (Lisa) Muncy of Junction City; grandchildren, Alycia (Hugo) Schneider, Jenna (Meshach) McCann, Hanna (Chris) Caldwell, Tucker Brown, Gabby McFann, Lia Buckley, Lora Buckley, Dylan Muncy, Garrett Muncy, Clayton, Ethan, Alydia and Davonah Muncy; three great-grandchildren, Adaline, Maverick and Elayna; and one sister, Connie Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Muncy; one brother, Garland Muncy; and sisters, Ruth, Annabelle, and Marie. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, in Somerset Cemetery with Dylan Muncy officiating.
