William Gebhard “Bill” Dolbow Jr., 73, of Somerset, was unexpectedly called to be with the Lord at 4:47 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017.
Bill was born October 11, 1943 in Salem, NJ, the son of the late William G. and Alice Eleanor Cline Dolbow Sr. He retired in 2005 from General Motors in Wilmington, Delaware after over 35 years of service. He loved farming and pursued it his whole life. He enjoyed riding his golf cart while looking at his land and enjoying nature. He loved his family being a father, grandfather and great-grandfather, as well as his dogs, the late Bud and his current dog Weiser. Bill never knew a stranger and was a friend to all.
Bill is survived by two daughters, Kim M. (Rodney) Boswell of Washington Court House and Tammy Lynn (Arnie) Bands of Maryland; two sons, William Gebhard (Jennifer) Dolbow III of Glenford and Thomas “T.J.” (Melissa) Dolbow of Upper Arlington; eleven grandchildren, Dani, Haley, Henry “Hank”, Jennifer, Brittany, Tara, Chloe, Catherine, Michael, Nick and Sabrina; five great-grandchildren, Aubree, Zoee, Candence, Charlee and Addi; and two brothers, Kenneth Dolbow of Pennsylvania and Jerry Dolbow of Montana.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset, Ohio where services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Eric Wolford officiating.
