William E. Crane, 75, of Somerset, died Sunday morning, August 27, 2017 at his residence.
Bill was born February 1, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Hazel Ruth Taylor Crane of Somerset and the late James Ronald Crane (2011).
He was a loving husband, father and son. Bill served in the Navy and the Air Force. He retired from the Air Force and then went to work for the Federal Government where he retired.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the V.F.W. Bill also enjoyed being an umpire and referee for football, volleyball, baseball, softball, etc.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lucille J. Crane of the home; his children, Robert Hunt and William E. Crane, Jr. both of Somerset, Hiedi Greene of Plainfield, IN, Adam Crane and Suzanne Crane both of Winter Haven, FL, Richard Hunt of Baltimore, MD and James Hunt of North Carolina; a sister, Beverly; three brothers, Ronald, Steve and Dennis Crane; and many grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Crane.
No calling hours or service will be observed.
