Walter “Buck” Fulk, 75, of Somerset, went to be with the Lord at 7:55 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at his residence.
Buck was born October 4, 1942 near Crooksville, Ohio, the son of the late Carl L. and Mary Catherine Kinsel Fulk. He was a hard worker his whole life, starting with George J. Igel in 1960 and retiring from Capital City Crane in 2003 having been a crane operator for 53 years. He was a member of Ohio Operating Engineers since 1965. Buck was an avid hunter and loved anything outdoors, especially his grass and yard. He dearly loved his family more than anything, especially his chubby girls, as well as his extended family, friends and co-workers.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Lunning Fulk, whom he married December 15, 1962; two daughters, Catherine Fulk of Somerset and Susan Lyons of Glenford; one son, James Fulk of Somerset; four grandchildren, Allison, Dylan, Lyndsiey, and Rachael; six great-grandchildren, Makayla, Arion, Ashley, Xavier, Wyatt, Warren and one on the way; four brothers, John (Helen) Fulk, Mike (Cindy) Fulk, Joseph (Lisa) Fulk and Clarence Fulk; and two sisters, Elizabeth Rittgers and Sandra (Clark) Swain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia (Otis) Ferguson and Mary (Larry) Jones.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Somerset with Father Stephen Carmody as celebrant, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Gene Dawson. Burial will follow in Fultonham Cemetery.
