Roxine Alberta Fisk, 77, of Glenford, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in the comfort of her home.
Roxine was born August 26, 1939 in Calhoon County, WV, the daughter of the late Roxie (Radabaugh) and Albert Whipkey.
She lived in Calhoon County until her family moved to Cleveland in 1953. She graduated from East High School in Cleveland in January 1958. Shortly after her graduation she met her husband Marshall Fisk, and they were married 49 years until his death.
Roxine’s business career started at Cleveland Schools, then Lehman’s Trucking Co, then she moved on to Moen Inc. where she retired. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, crossword puzzles, arts and crafts and of course spending time with her family and trusted canine companion, Cali.
She loved her family deeply, and they were the most important to her. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha and Rusty Crist of Glenford; son, Randy Fisk of Madison, daughter, Phyllis Kraps of Penfield Township; sister, Rachel Racela of Strongsville; grandchildren, Marshall and Amaris Meng, Rachel, Tim and Robin Fisk and Chelsie and Sara Crist; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Mike Whipkey; and a sister, Donna Jean Hartshorn.
Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at St. Paul Community Church, 127 Mill St., (St. Rt. 757), Glenford, Ohio 43739, where services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday with Pastor Paul Hansen officiating. Burial will be held at 11:15 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 420 Downtowner Plaza, Coshocton, OH 43812.
