Ronald G. DePew, 66, of Somerset, passed away Thursday morning, May 23, 2019 at his residence. Ron was born November 10, 1952 in Athens, Ohio, the son of the late Webster and Mayme Barnhart DePew. He fondly worked as a professional moulder for Buckeye Steel and Castings in Columbus, Ohio. Ron had many struggles due to work injuries early in his life. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carrie A. Lane DePew of the home; one son, Ronald Gerald DePew II of Murfreesboro, TN; one daughter, Jennifer Lynn DePew of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Zandra Cleland, Trent Cleland, Ronald Gerald DePew III, Elise M. DePew and Callie M. DePew; one great-granddaughter, Octavia Cain; two brothers, Gary W. DePew and Kenneth DePew; and two sisters, Kathy Stepelton and Vickii L. Barbie. No calling hours or services will be held. There will be a caring cremation as per Ronald’s wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home, P.O.
