Robin E. Miller, 60, of Heath, Ohio, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Licking Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Robin was born June 12, 1957 in Zanesville, Ohio, to Doris E. (Fosnaugh) Pettit of Somerset and the late Robert E. Miller, Jr.
He was a 1975 graduate of Sheridan High School and attended OU in Athens for several years. Robin was a Plumbing Pro at Lowe’s in Heath, Ohio for 18 years where he organized the Build to Grow Program, Community Safety Days and blood drives. He took part in Cancer Walks for Breast Cancer and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. Robin also bartended at the Hole In The Wall in Somerset and was a long time Somerset girls softball and volleyball coach.
In addition to his mother, Robin is survived by his brothers, Randy C. Miller of Somerset and Robert E. (Janet) Miller III of Virginia Beach, VA; sisters, Crystal L. (John M.) Jourdan of Somerset and Roxanne Miller of Newark; two step-sisters, Carolyn (Doug) Arnold and Marilyn (Warren) Heminger, both of Newark; a step-brother, Fred Pettit of Heath; nine nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Raymond F. Pettit; and a step-brother, Raymond “Little Ray” Pettit.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Friends are encouraged to wear their NASCAR apparel.
