Richard A. Pool

Richard A. Pool, 82, of Somerset, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center.
Dick was born April 4, 1935 in Haydenville, Ohio, the son of the late Darrell T. Pool and Florence Lehman Reeves.
He was a Korean Conflict Army veteran serving in the 24th Infantry Division. Dick was a member of the Somerset American Legion Leo Ryan Post 58.  He retired after 31 years of service from Lempco Inc. in New Lexington. Dick loved to fish and hunt.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, whom he married August 22, 1959, Ruth M. Pool of the home; one son, Richard (Theresa) Pool of Marengo, Ohio; one daughter, Julie (Lawrence) Rivera of Granville, Ohio;  one grandson, Richard Pool of Delaware, Ohio;  one granddaughter, Miranda (Matt) Harris of Marengo, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren, Brooke, Faith, and Autumn.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday. Burial will follow in Somerset Cemetery with Somerset American Legion Leo Ryan Post 58 providing graveside military honors.
