Max Leslie Baughman, 82, of Somerset, died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Pickering House.
Max was born March 3, 1936 in Roseville, Ohio, the son of the late Herbert and Wilma Slack Baughman.
Max spent his entire life in Perry County. He was a graduate of Glenford High School; a former Hopewell Township Trustee; and a member of the Elks Lodge 509 in New Lexington. He was employed at Rockwell International (now Arvin-Meritor) for 30 years. Currently, Max had worked for the Ridenour Auto Group (Ford-Dodge Agency) in New Lexington. He was a member of the Olivet Church of the Brethren.
Max married Alice Love, his first wife in 1956. They were the parents of Roger, James and Marsha. Alice passed away in 1976. Max and Francie Euman Snider were married in 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Francie Baughman; children, Roger (Carol) Baughman and James (Angel) Baughman both of Somerset, Marsha Baughman of NC; Lynn (John) Seifert of Portales N.M., Jeanie (Dale) DeRolph of Glenford, and David (Anne) Snider of Somerset; his grandchildren, Brian, Kellie, Christian, Colton, Christopher, Dustin, Nathan, Christopher, Joseph, Robert and William; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mollee Seifert; and a brother, Richard Baughman.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Burial will follow in Somerset Cemetery.
