Jesus R. DelaPena, 87, of Somerset, Ohio, formerly of Republic of the Phillipines, died at 5:06 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center.
Jesus was born January 30, 1930 in Dau Pampanga , Republic of the Phillipines, the son of the late Daku and Sabil DelRosario DelaPena.
He worked for over 20 years for the U.S. Airforce Base Clark in the Republic of the Phillipines then in 1989, moved to Dayton, Ohio where he worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base until 1992 when he moved to Las Vegas. There, he became a Casino Porter at Treasure Island and later retired at the age of 79.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Conchita Mercado DelaPena of the home; nine children; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and three sisters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son; three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday with Father Stephen Carmody officiating.
