Emma L. Quinn, 76, of Somerset died at 1:42 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center Emergency Room.
Emma was born November 7, 1940 in Somerset, Ohio, the daughter of the late Michael E. and Francis C. Hammond Mooter. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling and NASCAR.
She is survived by her children, Ted Quinn (Makala Barrick) of Crooksville, Theresa (Billy) Solomon of Thornville, Ray (Marianne) Quinn of Hebron and Brenda (Matt) Eltringham of Somerset; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Mary) Mooter of Somerset; and two sisters, Janice Smith and Penny Norris both of New Lexington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Quinn (2005); two brothers and one sister, Rita, Michael and Joe.
Emma has requested that friends attend in casual NASCAR attire from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Stephen Carmody as celebrant, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Gene Dawson. Burial will follow in Community Gardens.
