Doris E. (Fosnaugh) Pettit

Doris E. (Fosnaugh-Miller) Pettit, 85, of Somerset, went to be with the Lord at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday January 1, 2019 at Altercare of Somerset. Doris was born August 22, 1933 to the late Paul and Nettie (Landon) Fosnaugh in Baltimore, Ohio. She was a 1951 graduate of Somerset High School. She had worked at Lowe’s as head cashier in both Heath and Zanesville for many years. She was a member of the Somerset American Legion Auxiliary Unit 58. Doris is survived by a son, Randy Miller of Somerset; two daughters, Crystal (John M.) Jourdan of Somerset and Roxanne Miller of Newark; a daughter-in-law, Janet Miller of Virginia Beach, VA; a step-son, Fred Pettit of Heath; two step-daughters, Carolyn (Doug) Arnold and Marilyn (Warren) Heminger, both of Newark; a sister, Evelyn Samson of Bellefontaine; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Pettit; father of her children, Robert E. Miller, Jr.; sons, Robert E. Miller III and Robin E. Miller; a step-son, Raymond “Little Ray” Pettit and step-parents, Clayton McCafferty, Rose Mary McCafferty-Honeywell and Dorothy Fosnaugh. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 with the Rev.
