Beulah Z (Chapman) Cooperrider

Beulah Z. Cooperrider, 79, of Thornville, Ohio, died at 4:04 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center. Beulah was born July 29, 1939 in Majestic, KY, the daughter of the late Clarence and Pearl (Harr) Chapman. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church. Beulah and her late husband were the owners/operators of Kraner’s Corner in the 1970’s. She was an avid baker and known for her pies, especially coconut cream and pumpkin. She loved gardening and watching nature, drinking coffee and looking at birds and flowers. She was a mushroom and arrowhead hunter and loved singing and listening to Gospel music. Beulah is survived by a grandchild, Jaice R. Cooperrider of the home; two step-sons, Greg and Kent Cooperrider; six sisters, Kerry Rodriguez of Chicago, Yvonne (Lester) Sharp of Bremen, Charlene Boch of Bremen, Sharon Hickey of Bremen, Jeanne Chapman of Lancaster and Marge (Randy) Howard of Thornville; a brother, Jack Chapman of Bremen; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice E. Cooperrider; a daughter, Janice R. Cooperrider; and two brothers, Robert “Bob” Chapman and Willis Chapman. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018.
