Benjamin F. Covey, Jr., 82, of Somerset, died Monday, April 24, 2017.
Benjamin was born in Ethel, WV, the son of the late Benjamin F. Sr. and Goldie Stacia (Cook) Covey. He was a retired machinist, and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Donnalee Covey; daughters, Debbie (Ken) Lewis, Terry Headley, Patti (Matt) Lucas and Wendy (Randy) Curtis; a son, John (Carrie) Covey; loved as a son, Bruno Kolb; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Vincent; sisters, Geneva Sanders and Jean (Averol) Ball; brothers, Larry (Mary) Covey and William Bennett (Marie) Covey; grandchildren, Mark Vincent, Chawndala Tackett, Heather Vincent, Tracy Thomson, Shawn Lewis, Josh Lewis, Jason Moore, Crissy Parsons, Brian Moore, Janelle Lathrop, Leslie Lucas, Brandi Curtis, Kaycee Curtis, Job Covey, Faith Covey and Nora Covey; step-grandchildren, Andrew Curtis and Tyler Curtis; 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Michael (Aneta) Munger, Robert Munger, Eugene Munger and David Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scotty Vincent; daughter, Suzanne Covey; brothers, Dorsey, James and Chester Covey; and sisters, Nona Ball and Alice Nelson.
Friends may call from 12-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the VGF Church, 4905 Jacksontown Rd. SE, Newark, Ohio where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor John Schouten officiating.
