Gloria N. Masterson

Gloria N. Masterson, 91, of Somerset, was granted her angel wings at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who were touched by her love. Gloria was born October 28, 1929, a daughter of the late Claude and Muriel (Maxwell) Masterson. She was a member of Eastern Star, Stafford CCL Mothers’ Club, and the Somerset United Methodist Church. She was an integral part of her husband’s veterinary practice, Masterson’s Veterinary Clinic. Gloria enjoyed cooking, ceramics, and traveling but most of all, she dearly loved and cared for her family. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Dr. Rhonda Masterson of Somerset; her son-in-law, Dan Shaw; three grandchildren, Adrian (Zack) Daubenmire, Randi Shaw, and Danae Shaw; a daughter-in-law, Jan Masterson; three step-grandchildren, Denise Maksimoski, David Shaw, and Danielle Shaw; six great-grandchildren; and several dear nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Dr. Ralph Masterson; her sons, Richard “Rick” and Randy Masterson; her brothers, Claude “Max” and Rexford Masterson; her sisters, Claudine Wilson, Joan Puterbaugh and Janet Miller. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2021 in Somerset Cemetery with Rev. David Helser and Rev. Karen Walters officiating.
